CITIZENS UNION BANK ANNOUNCES
2016 SUMMER INTERN PROGRAM
SHELBYVILLE, KY — PRESS RELEASE
Citizens Union Bank is pleased to announce their Third Annual Summer Intern Program involving high school students from the Shelby County Public School system. Over a term of six weeks, two specially selected Student Interns will work at CUB’s Main Office. They will be given assignments, projects and tasks, daily coaching, feedback and mentoring from CUB Bank Officers and Department Heads.
During the course of the Internship the participants will also be provided with structured access (lunches, informal meetings) to various members of Executive Management to answer questions and discuss topics of interest to them. At the conclusion of the six weeks, written Performance Evaluations will be provided to each Intern to be used for future development purposes.
David Bowling, CEO, stated “The goal of our Intern Program is to give students hands on experiences in a dynamic, yet relaxed work environment that will help prepare them for their future academic and professional careers. Plus, we think we can learn something from them in return concerning what bank products and services young people want, need and expect.”
Selections of the Interns were made through a combination of school faculty recommendations, written applications and face to face interviews with Bank Management. The selected students for this year are:
